The forest near my home turns brilliant in the fall- tall spruce stand deep green against the deep blue of the sky; maples take on the yellow and red of a Maine autumn. Shadows on the forest floor, small pines growing in the clearings- the air crisp, the nights getting colder- winter is coming, but not yet!
Fall is a time to enjoy being alive!
Painting outside in the autumn is wonderful, as one gathers the last warm sun and color before the colder beauty of winter.
